current student events

If you're in middle school or high school (7th-12th grade) then there's always a spot open with your name on it at CURRENT.

Doors open at 6:00PM for CURRENT Coffee House, video games, music, conversation, and hang out.

CURRENT is a place where the circle is big enough for everyone! We believe that students are unique and designed with a purpose! Middle school and high school is a time where students are filled with QUESTIONS, are on a journey of SELF-DISCOVERY, DREAMS and HOPE that they can become everything they were made for!

At CURRENT we join students in their questions and journey of self-discovery, while developing healthy perspectives and character based on a foundation of Truth. Together we live adventurous, hopeful lives and dream big about what it will mean to become all that God designed us to be!

*New 7th graders move up June 9th, 6pm-9pm at Gateway.

June 29 | 7:30am- 1:30/2:30pm

Carpe Diem is our annual summer service project; a realy cool opportunity to take some time to help people in need, together. People need each other and everyone needs a little extra help at some point in their lives. God said, "Love Me, and love people", so that's what we're going to do. We are going to help people, serve them a meal, acknowledge that they're significant and hopefully, impact our world with truth and love. Online registration required. Middle school and high school will serve in separate teams.

This year we will be serving at the Vineyard Columbus Church Food Pantries. Middle school will serve at the North Side Pantry and high school at the Fruit of the Vine Pantry downtown.

Please arrive at the church Saturday, June 29th at 7:30am for a short group briefing. Vans will leave at 8am sharp. We will be back at the church for lunch and debreif at 12:30. Students can be picked up anywhere between 1:30 and 2:30pm at Gateway. Slip n' slide and volley ball will be open (and optional) from 1:30-2:30pm (bring a towel if you plan to get wet!).
